Leisure Village Camarillo
Leisure Village Camarillo is located in Ventura County midway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Convenient access to Highway 101 offers an easy commute north to the seaside resort and south to the exciting big city.
Just a few miles from the ocean, the community enjoys a nearly ideal year round climate and residents enjoy the beaches and boat harbors of the coast and the offshore Channel Islands National Park.
Recreation amenities within the Village include a well-equipped fitness center, an 18-hole, three-par golf course, two tennis courts, two paddle tennis courts, four bocce courts and a large swimming pool and spa.
Community residences consist of more than 2100 California ranch style homes in single family and attached models in 25 different floorplans. The homes are all single story and range in size from about 750 to 2000 square feet. Most have private garages and patios. Resale prices range from $300,000 to $600,000.
The homeowner fees range from $300 to almost $500 a month depending on the floorplan of the home. The fees cover exterior maintenance of homes and landscaping, as well as common areas and facilities. They also pay for basic cable TV, 24-hour gated security, water, sewer and trash removal costs. A free bus service operated by the City of Camarillo also serves the community.
One member of the household must be at least 55 years of age in California senior communities, and other members 45 (except in caretaker situations), but homes can always be purchased and owned by younger buyers.
