Talega Gallery Active Retirement Community
Talega Gallery is the most recently completed of south Orange County's active adult retirement communities. It's located on a hilltop at the center of the Talega residential development just a couple of miles from the ocean in San Clemente.
The gated community offers custom-designed, detached and attached luxury homes with the ambience and amenities to match.
An 8,500 square foot community recreation center called the Gallery Club is the neighborhood gathering place. It's where the ballroom, library, card room, billiard room, outdoor cooking patio are to be found, along with a complete exercise and fitness center. Adjacent to the club is a croquet course, bocce course and nine-hole putting green.
The Talega Golf Club that surrounds the Gallery is an 18-hole "Fred Couples Signature" public course. The par-72 circuit is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. Residents also enjoy the Talega Swim and Athletic Club where the facilities include a multi-use arena for tennis, roller sports and basketball. There are volleyball courts, picnic areas and a sunbathing terrace as well.
A leisurely drive offers all the pleasures of the south Orange County coast, from the beaches and pier at San Clemente, to the scenic coast and art galleries of Laguna Beach, to the posh restaurants and shopping in Newport Beach.
Resale prices for residences in the Gallery range from $600,000 to more than $1,000,000 with HOA/maintenance fees ranging from $300 to $400 a month for the recreational facilities, landscaping, sewer and trash services.
One member of the household must be at least 55 years of age in California senior communities, and other members 45 (except in caretaker situations), but homes can always be purchased and owned by younger buyers.
